Calzedonia 20D Ultra Comfort Tights Review

Calzedonia 20D Ultra Comfort Tights
4.2
Silk Rosa Score Very good

Calzedonia is the Italian high-street name you see in every mall, and the 20D Ultra Comfort is its everyday workhorse. At $12 it is one of the cheapest on this list. We wore it for full days to judge the "ultra comfort" claim.

What we tested

We tested the nude pair in size M. The 20D Ultra Comfort is a soft 20-denier tight with a wide comfort waistband, a cotton gusset and a reinforced toe. Calzedonia markets it for daily wear, so we wore it through office days and a long-haul travel day.

How it feels

The wide waistband is the headline — it sits flat and does not roll or dig in, which is where cheaper tights usually fail. The 20D knit is a clean semi-sheer that smooths the leg without reading as hosiery. Across a full day it stayed comfortable, and on the travel day it held up better than expected.

Fit and sizing

Calzedonia uses height-and-weight sizing; the M (roughly 5'4"–5'7", 123–143 lb) fit our tester well. The 20D has enough give for a true-to-size pick. If you are between sizes, the comfort waistband tolerates a size down better than most.

Wear and care

For $12 it wore respectably across several outings before we rotated it. The wide waistband and gusset clearly help longevity. Hand-wash or delicates cycle, and it should outlast pricier fashion tights that skimp on the waistband.

Value for money

At $12 the 20D Ultra Comfort is the best comfort-per-dollar everyday tight we tested this round. The waistband alone justifies the price, and the wide retail availability makes it an easy repurchase.

Pros

  • Wide, flat comfort waistband
  • Smooth semi-sheer 20D finish
  • Cotton gusset for all-day wear
  • Best comfort-per-dollar at $12

Cons

  • Semi-sheer, not ultra-sheer
  • Plain look, no fashion detail
  • Not run-proof

Who it's best for

Best for daily wearers who prioritize a comfortable waistband and easy repurchase. The default everyday tight for office and travel.

Calzedonia 20D Ultra Comfort — 3 Pack: is the multipack worth it?

Calzedonia also sells this tight as a 3-pack (around $22), which drops the effective per-pair cost to roughly $7.30. For an everyday tight you replace often, the multipack is the smarter buy — same comfort waistband, just three at once so you are never caught without a clean pair. If you only wear tights occasionally, stick to the single; if it is a daily habit, the 3-pack pays for itself quickly.

$12 Single pair. 3-pack ~$22. Price checked August 2026.
