What we tested
We tested the nude pair in size M. The Sheers are a 15-20 denier ultra-sheer tight with a micro-shaping knit through the leg and a wide comfort waist. Spanx markets them for a smoothed, toned look under dresses, so we wore them under a slip dress and with a pencil skirt.
How it feels
The shaping is subtle but present: legs look a touch more even, and the waistband lies flat without rolling. The sheer knit is lightweight and the nude tone is a clean, slightly cool beige that disappears under skin-tone clothing. The finish is matte rather than glossy, which reads as natural.
Fit and sizing
Spanx sizing runs by height and weight; the M fit our 5'6" tester with no surplus at the ankle. The shaping means less stretch forgiveness, so do not size down. The toe is sheer (not reinforced), which keeps the look clean but demands careful footwear.
Shaping and wear
Under a slip dress the smoothing was visible and flattering. For all-day office wear the light compression was comfortable, though warmer than a basic sheer. We would avoid jewelry and rough chair edges given the fine denier.
Value for money
At $38 you pay for the Spanx name and the smoothing technology more than for durability. If contouring matters to you, it earns its place; if you just want a nude sheer, cheaper options exist.
