Fishnet tights often feel like a costume piece, but Fiore’s Luciana Seamed Fishnet is subtle enough for daytime. The small-scale mesh and classic back seam give it a retro look without looking overly dressy. At $18 it is also one of the most affordable tights we recommend.
We tested the black pair in size Medium/Large. The Luciana is a medium-scale fishnet with a sewn back seam, a soft waistband, and a small cotton gusset. The mesh is smaller than typical party fishnets, which makes it easier to style with skirts and dresses.
The mesh is soft rather than scratchy, and the back seam is stitched flat so it does not irritate the back of the legs. The waistband is wide and comfortable. Because the net is open, these tights breathe well and are more comfortable than sheer tights in warm weather.
Fiore sizing runs slightly small. Our tester is a true Medium and found the M/L a comfortable fit; a smaller size would have felt short in the leg. The seam stays straight when the tights are pulled up evenly, which is important for the vintage look.
Fishnets are inherently more fragile than solid knits, but the Luciana held up to two wears and one hand wash without stretching or breaking. The key is putting them on carefully and avoiding rings or bracelets during dressing.
At $18 these are excellent value for a fashion tight. They are not an everyday basic, but they cost less than most competitors and look more expensive than the price suggests.
Best for vintage-inspired outfits, date nights, and anyone who wants to add texture to a simple dress without going too bold.
