Falke is a German brand with a long history in hosiery and socks. The Lunelle 8 Dotted is an ultra-sheer 8-denier tight with a tiny polka-dot pattern. At $46 it is firmly in the luxury category, so we tested it carefully to see if the quality justifies the price.
We tested the black pair in size Medium. The Lunelle 8 Dotted is an 8-denier, ultra-sheer tight with a delicate all-over dot pattern, a sheer toe, and a soft, wide waistband. It is designed for special occasions and warm weather.
The 8-denier knit is barely there — it feels like wearing almost nothing on the legs. The dot pattern is subtle from a distance but adds texture up close. The waistband is one of the most comfortable we tested: wide, soft, and completely non-binding.
The Medium fit our 5’6” tester with room to spare; Falke sizing is generous. The dots stay crisp after stretching, and the sheer toe looks elegant in open-toe heels. Because the fabric is so sheer, any nail or jewelry contact can snag it, so dress carefully.
This is not a durable tight and it is not meant to be. We wore it once for a special event and hand washed it immediately afterward. It survived with no runs, but we would not recommend it for daily commuting.
At $46 the Lunelle 8 is expensive for occasional use. It is worth it if you want a luxury, eye-catching sheer for events, but it is not a practical everyday purchase.
Best for weddings, special events, and summer evenings when you want an elegant, ultra-sheer leg with a little personality.
