Cecilia de Rafael’s Eterno Super Lucido 20 is known in hosiery forums for its glassy shine and soft hand-feel. At roughly $24 it sits between drugstore brands and Wolford. We tested it across three workdays to see if the “Super Lucido” finish lives up to the name.
We tested the black pair in size Medium. The Eterno Super Lucido is a 20-denier sheer tight with a high Lycra content and a glossy, wet-look finish. It has a cotton gusset, reinforced toe, and a narrow elastic waistband.
The shine is immediately visible — stronger than Wolford Neon 40 and closer to a wet-look pantyhose finish. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, making it comfortable in warm offices. The waistband is narrower than Wolford’s and can roll slightly if you have a shorter torso, but it does not pinch.
The Medium fit our 5’6” / 125 lb tester well, with enough length for someone up to 5’9”. The 20-denier knit is sheer but surprisingly resilient. The reinforced toe adds durability but is visible in open-toe shoes, so pair it with closed pumps or boots.
After two hand washes and one machine wash in a delicates bag, the tights showed no runs. There was minor fading of the high-shine coating after the machine wash, so we recommend hand washing or a very gentle cycle to preserve the gloss.
At $24 the Eterno Super Lucido offers a genuine luxury look for less. If you want glossy sheer tights for evenings or dressy days without paying Wolford prices, this is one of the best-value options we have tested.
Best for evenings, date nights, and anyone who wants a glossy sheer tight without the $40+ price tag.
